Agricultural Producers and Landowners

Agricultural farms and landowners  with water quality concerns may be eligible for financial assistance.  Producers and landowners are encouraged to call the office for more information.  Past 319 award recipients have received cost share assistance on the following:

Livestock Producers Commercial Poultry Producers
  • Fencing livestock out of streams, ponds and rivers
  • Alternate water sources (troughs/tanks and pipelines)
  • Well
  • Creating buffer strips to trap sediment
  • Manure stacking shed

Livestock with direct access to surface waters contribute significant amounts of coliform bacteria into the environment.

Manure stacking sheds are used to store animal manure.  This prevents rainwater from contacting the manure andbecoming contaminated.
