Field Days

The Sandhills Longleaf Pine Conservation Partnership (SLPCP, Partnership) plans several outreach events and field days throughout the year. Please contact us if you are interested in scheduling a talk with your school group or civic club. We have listed our events below, with links to more information about that event.

Field Days (informal)-
Longleaf and Lunch - Held each fall, revolves around a 3-4 stop field tour and lunch.
Learn and Burn - Held in the winter, this is a hand's on half-day where landowners work alongside certified burners.
Fire Field Day - Our first educational event (classroom) on prescribed fire.

Continuing Education -
Longleaf 101, 201 - Scheduled as needed, these courses provide in-depth, multiple day trainings on a variety of topics.
Certified Prescribed Fire Manager (CPFM) - the classroom portion of CPFM certification.
